I really enjoy having a home theater, including a DVD surround sound system, in my living room. I'm really not a fan of going out to the movies, so watching movies at home on a DVD surround sound system is a great alternative. I am much more comfortable in my own home watching movies than going out to a theater. I would much rather sit on my own couch, a nice leather soft one, than the hard theater chairs. I don't like dirty sticky floors that always seem to be in the theater, and I really hate paying an arm and a leg for a bowl of popcorn. I can buy a whole box of popcorn for less than a medium popcorn, and it lasts me for a month instead of one night. Watching movies at home on a DVD surround sound system really sounds and looks like a theater, with a nice widescreen television. The sound on a DVD surround sound system is amazing, just like a theater. And my DVD surround sound system is in high definition so it's a really great picture as well.
